Phillips Parker Orberson & Moore PLC is a civil defense litigation firm.  We have an AV rating under Martindale-Hubbell guidelines.  We are also listed in Best’s Directory of Recommended Attorneys and Adjusters.  Our attorneys have been elected to such groups as The Best Lawyers in America, The American College of Trial Lawyers, and Who’s Who in American Law.   Many of our attorneys are past and present members of a variety of committees with the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations.  Our bar association activities range from providing seminar lectures to serving as committee directors.  In addition, our members have served as adjunct faculty for the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law, for Bellarmine University’s W. Fielding Rubel School of Business, and for the University of Louisville’s Paralegal Studies Program.

PPOM was founded on July 16, 1999, by John W. Phillips, Susan D. Phillips, John F. Parker, Jr., William B. Orberson and John B. Moore.  All were formerly partners at Boehl Stopher & Graves in Louisville.  Two other former partners at Boehl Stopher & Graves, William O. Guethlein and William P. Swain, joined PPOM as of-counsel and remain of-counsel today.  PPOM has grown from 11 to 18 attorneys, including the addition of three partners.  The emphasis of our practice continues to be the defense of insurance, corporate and municipal litigation.
